Electrician - Maintenance Engineer - Bristol

An Electrician is required to join our team in Central Bristol.
This is a full time, permanent role working 5 days out of 7 (some weekend work will be required). The shifts are 8 hours long, between the hours of 8am - 8pm.
There is an on call rota, working one week in seven.
A driving license is essential for this role.
WHAT THE ELECTRICIAN JOB INVOLVES:
The Electrician role is a varied and challenging one where no one day is the same. As an Electrician, working within a friendly and supportive team you will be playing a vital role in ensuring that students living in our properties have a great experience.
Covering a number of our properties, you will be:
-Acting as a technical specialist for electrical maintenance works
-Maintenance of domestic and commercial electrical installations
-Working in plant rooms and with the electrical plant items
-Locating and rectifying a wide range of electrical faults
-Completing planned inspections, rectifying any remedial works
-Providing reactive maintenance support
-Undertaking general repair and maintenance works
-Ensuring that all works are conducted to the highest safety and quality standards and in line with regulations
-Following up on customer or property related issues
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU:
Although you may not have worked in the accommodation industry before, what is really important to us is that you:
-Have experience working as an Electrician within a customer facing environment
-Are NICEIC 17th Edition qualified including amendment 3 refresher training
-Are NVQ Level 2 qualified or City and Guilds 236 Part 1 and 2, or City & Guilds 2330 and have obtained Achievement Level 2 or equivalent
-Have developed a good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
-Hold a full UK driving licence
-Are a first class team player who demonstrates a positive and collegiate attitude
-Can work flexible hours (including some weekends), taking part in the on call rota
-Thrive on understanding, empathising and delivering against customer needs
-Possess strong communication skills and can build relationships effectively
-Are computer literate (training will be provided for the use of our PDA system)
-Are able to work at fast pace, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
-Have excellent personal time management and prioritisation skills
-Are self-motivated and able to work on your initiative
